Today I interviewed Ayan Mukherjee, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). He transitioned to become a psychotherapist from a 9-year long successful career in commercial banking. He discovered the power of good psychotherapy, while dealing with his own issues. He experienced extensive healing and transformation over a period of 3-4 years, while completing therapy school. He graduated with a diploma in Holistic Psychotherapy from the Transformational Arts College, Toronto, in early 2016. Since then he has trained in trauma-informed, somatic therapies, such as EMDR Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Structural Dissociation and Brainspotting. He is also a Certified Hypnotist with the National Guild of Hypnotists and he practices clinical hypnotherapy.
It was a very informative interview and discussion. Ayan is referred to as "the working man's therapist" and he does wonderful work with men's mental health issues and concerns. In our interview we discuss the mental health challenges that men are facing in our modern world. We also discuss the impact of trauma and how hypnosis, EMDR and psychotherapy interventions can be beneficial in assisting with releasing trauma from the nervous system and mind. We also engaged in creating a dual hypnosis induction for you to experience to assist you in increasing your confidence and inner strength. The interview and hypnosis session will release on iTunes, Spotify and Google Play Music on Friday, August 24th.
Ayan sees clients at his Toronto practice as well as online through Skype and video conferencing. His website is www.ayanrp.com.
